Current situation analysis: Problem occured only on clients which had formerly installed Zarafa 6.40. On newer clients the update works.

    Hello Kolping,

We are now investigation this problem.

But one question, you 6.40 users all had the 6.40 en version installed? Do these user also have multiple office languages installed?

    Greetings,

    Hello,

sorry for the late response, had some other issues today, too. Can't say which version of 6.40 has been installed. I would say it differs from client to client depending on its age... At first we did the installation manually. Later via deployment.

Had another client today and deleted all older Zarafa Client versions via Windows Installer Cleanup Tool. Then the distribution via Windows worked normally.

Before it said (same error on both msi files, not depending on windows distribution or Auto Update):

Error 1714. The older version of Zarafa Outlook Client 7.1.3.41038 cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group. System Error 1612.

Is there anything new? Missed the point with the languages. But that is easy to answer: only german language is installed, no multi language interfaces.

    Hello Kolping,

There is no news. We still are not able to reproduce any of the reported issues. It could be that one client that was used once can cause the problem. But we do not know what client.
Or any other factor that can cause the problems.

    Greetings,
    Robin

    Hello Kolping,

Is this on a vista system? I found some topics on the web that say that msis fail with this error on vista systems but when they run the installer as system admin it works correct.
