    Exclamation LibC.so.6 kills zarafa-server service

    Hey guys,

    I'm running the new 7.1beta1 (updated from 7.0.2) and encountered a problem with libc6, I think.

    Serverloglevel is set to 5 and shows as last entry of the server log those messages:

    Code:

    OS is Debian 6 x64, installed Libc6 is libc6 2.11.3-3

    Well .. that seems pretty unfixed to me:

    Thanks to Sebastian from Zarafa-Brazil!

    It seems to be the Indexer! We stopped the Indexer Service and do have 12 hours without a crashed zarafa-server.

    Mh... is this relevant to anybody?

    Hello Kater,

    I have not seen it in any of my test servers. But my servers have libc6 2.11.3-2
    I will ask a developer to check it.

    Greetings,
    Robin

    Edit:
    I created a ticket for this: Jira ticket: ZCP-9947

    Kater,

    In Zarafa 7.1 we have added a high-performance exporter to stream messages really quickly to the indexer (and other consumers). This makes use of a simple stored procedure in MySQL, which is recursive. Can you tell me the value of your my.cnf setting of thread_stack ? This may be limiting something here. I have seen values at 128K but the default seems to be 192K. This sounds like nothing but makes quite a difference.

    Of course we should be handling the error situation better than a segfault too..

    Hi Steve,

    the following values are configured:

    thread_stack = 192K
    thread_cache_size = 8

    Have a nice weekend!

    Hello Kater,

    Do you still have the problem, if so can you create a core file of the crash? We cannot reproduce it here and we need to core file to fix this.

    Robin, I'm not sure if we still have this problem. But it's not possible to get a downtime... again.
