    Quota and debug info

    Hi Folks!

    Maybe somebody can help me with quota's?
    My setup is as follows: Postfix, OpenLDAP, MySQL en the latest version of Zarafa 6.10 RC3

    LDAP is using the following schemas:
    I only set the following quota settings for one specific user:
    Quota settings in server.cfg are:
    Quota settings in /etc/zarafa/server.cfg are:
    The zarafa-monitor using the following settings:
    Is it true that when i restart the zarafa-monitor it is sending out notification mails? I'am asking this because i want to debug this.
    Is it correct that i don't get a notification mail when tyhe mailbox is over his hardlimit. If that's true i should get an entrry in the logfile (i think)
    log_level is set to 5 but i don't get many information, only lines like this:

    I don't get any mail when that user haves a mailbox size bigger then 1MB.

    Any help would be nice!

    Grtz,
    Martijn

    Re: Quota and debug info

    Hi,

    The values in 'zarafaQuotaWarn', 'zarafaQuotaSoft' and 'zarafaQuotaHard' are not necessarily in MB, that depends on the value configured in 'ldap_quota_multiplier' (see /etc/zarafa/ldap.cfg).

    When you want to treat the values in the quota attributes as:
    MB -> set ldap_quota_multiplier to 1048576
    KB -> set ldap_quota_multiplier to 1024
    B -> set ldap_quota_multiplier to 1

    It is indeed true that when the hard limit is reached the notification mail will not arrive in the store of the user who is over quota. You could solve this by either looking in the /var/log/monitor.log or configure additional recipients for quota mails. (See ldap_quota_userwarning_recipients_attribute configuration option)

    When the user is over quota but isn't receiving the warning mail, you should first look at the ldap_quota_multiplier value. If that is set correctly could you check what the output is of the following command:
    that will display the quota settings for that user as well is the current store size.

    Re: Quota and debug info

    Hi ivdoorn,

    Thanks for your reply!
    When i look at the user details all the quota's are disabled. It seems that i need to set zarafaQuotaOverride to '1', only then i will see the quota levels like this:
    Also in the webmail client the quota bar is visible.

    If is set zarafaQuotaOverride to '0' or don't add that attribute at all, the quota's are set to unlimited:
    Can anyone put me in the right direction?

    Grtz,
    Martijn

    Re: Quota and debug info

    That is correct behavior, the 'zarafaQuotaOverride' is intended to toggle the quota settings on or off. That way you can switch a user back to its default quota settings without loosing its original configuration.

    But I assume that with the 'zarafaQuotaOverride=1' setting it still isn't sending any quota warning mails?
    If that is the case could you check the /var/log/zarafa/monitor.log to see if the event is listed in there?
