    Zarafa doesn't start anymore - Database recovered

    Hi there!

    I have a big problem.
    Our Server has crahed - we recovered the database using following tool

    After that zarafa comes up with an warning and i can't access.
    If i wan't to restart the zarafa-server i get the following message:
    Can i remove this upgrade flag? I let it go over night but no chance.


    Is there any possibility to recover the entries of public calendars directly from database? Is there any tool?

    Thank you for help.

    P.S. Curiously logging doesn't work - logfile is empty but log level had been changed to 5 already?

    Hi netsrac,

    no promises that I or someone can help you... First of all I don't know tool from stellarinfo. Means I don't know how it works and if it really does what it promises. Since it is commercial product and you used it - maybe you should ask there for support...

    What could help us all around would be if you could post the entries from server log that you find in /var/log/zarafa. Please remove - in case you post it here - the license number inside. Additionally since mysql db is multiuser ;-) please connect to your mysql zarafa database and have a look inside version table. What is written in there and what zarafa server version is being started?

    Thanks for your reply!

    At first: Zarafa and MySQL runs, but i can't access my calendars!

    Here what i've done:
    I saw that the tables versions and users were empty, so i think zarafa thought to make an database-upgrade because it couldn't find the version.
    After that i createde the users which i had before, exactly the same parameters.
    Then i copied the mysql dump from repaired databse into the new one, without the tables "user, objectproperties ans versions".

    So i can login but can't see the calenders i had before the crash. Maybe some corruption with stores?
    I don't see any unhooked stores by zarafa-admin --list-orphans

    Damn.
    Do you have any idea?

    Honestly my only idea would be to put all items that you currently can read into pst files using outlook client, create a new database and put all pst file content back to each mailbox.

    Once again - I don't know how tis recovery tool you used works. Since you get no replies over the weekend about your problem I guess that no one else knows about this program. Really I think the only one that can help you with details are the authors of the tool you used. If you wouldn't use the tool I think some more people could help you.

    I can see fragments into the MySQL Database but not with Outlook.
    I think somethin with sthe stores went wrong.

    But unfotunately i can't see anything using zarafa-admin --list-orphans

    Actually i'm in contact with stellar but the hotline guy can't help me with his own software, yet :roll:

    I'm sorry but this tool is totally unfamiliar to us, and not a zarafa-certified or 'ready' solution. We never have heard from customer solving their issues using this tool.
