[RHEL 5] php mapi extension not found

    Hello everybody

Ive got some troubles with zarafa7

First: the Uprade using rpm -Uvh as told in the manual didn't work because of a lot of depenency troubles.
So i just removed every zarafa package from my system and did a fresh install of Zarafa 7 and converted my DB using the Zarafa7-upgrade script.

Now zarafa-server and everything else works like a charm.
    Except: Webaccess doesnt work anymore.

I get the error message that i mentioned in the Subject field:
    php mapi extension not found.
Yes, i restarted httpd after the install ;-)

my httpd error_log says the following:

    /usr/lib/php/modules/mapi.so does exist.
And so does libvmime and libvmime devel which was supplied with the zcp 7 download.

Any tips on how to fix this issue?
I will provide more information if needet.

oh, btw im using the normal php5.1 package which came with RHEL 5. Thats why i made a new thread because the other one regarding this issue was about php 5.2 :-)

    Hi,

Can you please install the php-mapi module and libvmime package again and restart apache?
    Hope this will help.

    Hello skull,

You will need to install the package php5-mapi. This was php-zarafa.

Re: [RHEL 5] php mapi extension not found

Since everything was already installed and every service was restarted i refused to reinstall everything.
And guess what? The problem is solved now.

It seems that it just needet a complete reboot. Thats not typical for Linux and i don't know what exactly was the source of the problem, but my zarafa server is now running without any problems.
Maybe this helps if somene else has the same problem.

    greetings
    skull
