    Zarafa & iPad

There is an interesting problem on iPad - there seems to be no way to scroll listboxes in webaccess. If I pick a listbox and try to scroll it, the whole window will just move a little and bounce back as if indicating it is not possible to scroll. Z-Push (1.4.3 486) seems to work fine for internal folders (Inbox, Sent Items, ...) but any additional user folders although visible, are empty once selected.

Any tips how to run Zarafa, I would hate to have to access it through IMAP...

    Hi Sasos,

This is a know issue and there is also a bugreport for this.
Safari is still not officially supported, so we also don't put that much energy in the development for it.

Why don't you use z-push for syncing the email. This is what most of the customers are using with an iPad.

    Regards,

    Milo

    Hi,

did you try to scroll with just one finger? Because there are some elements that can only be scrolled with two fingers.

    Cheers

Z-push would be preferred, but I cannot get Inbox subfolders to work, that's why we tried webaccess.

    Hello Sasos,

You do get sub-folders with Z-push.

    Re: Zarafa & iPad

Does that depend on the z-push version or zarafa version? Is there a specific iPad config to somehow subscribe to folders?
I would post a screenshot but I'm afraid I can't :-). As I've said, the user has a lot of subfolders in Inbox. All the e-mails inside Inbox are visible, but the subfolders are empty once selected...there are no e-mails visible on the iPad (the folders do contain e-mails)!

    Hello Sasos,

Are the mails older than 3 days? (this is the default age that the iphone keeps mails). You can create screenshots by clicking the home and lock button and the same time.

Right....I totally forgot about that, it's possible. But then again, I'm back to square one... :-) How would one view older mails with iPAD?

    Hello Sasos,

This is configurable. In the settings go to mail, Contacts and calendars. The you will need to select the account and there you
will find the option to set how many days of mails you want to be synced.

Yes, that is true, but does this option have any effect on the speed of z-push sync...or other troubles?

That's also why I have initially decided to post this into WebAccess section...the user with this problem does not need older mails all the time. But from time to time, there is a need to check an older mail and using webaccess for that would perfectly suffice :-D
