Re: Zarafa7 beta2-24874 Cached Mode problem

    Robin,

Regarding cached mode vs. auto mode, as I've written before: It always connects to the server without problems, but if you go with Cached Mode during account creation, it can later only open Public Folders but cannot open the user store (as described above: there is no zarafa-offline.exe process and synchronizing gives 0x80004002 error).

    Best Regards,
    RS

    Hello Usul,

Can you try to create a text file name server.cfg in the zarafa client dir.
The text file can be empty.

    Greetings,
    Robin

Zarafa7 beta3 Cached Mode problem too

    I use zcp 7.0 beta3 with it's corresponding client within Outlook 2010 on wondows 7 x86
I have the same problem, I can only use the plugin in online mode.
If I use cache mode or "automatic mode" zarafa-offline.exe just breaks.

I have done all the things from this thread, but it still fails.

The funny thing is, that even creating the server.cfg in the zarafa-program-dir doesn't prduce debug logging.
This file keeps on 0 bytes.

So I don't have a chance to troubleshoot. Well okay, sysinternals comes into mind....

    Hello Drops,

We found a client issue in the beta 3 that can cause the cached profiles to fail. I will check if we can release another windows client that has been fixed.

    Greetings,
    Robin

Is it possible to verify if there's any news on the new Outlook Client? Thanks in advance.

    Hello Rs,

It was not just a client fix so just a new client will not fix this. We will try to release the RC1 of 7 in the next month.
    Sorry for my late response.

    Greetings,
    Robin
