    Disable FCKEditor for iPad/iPhone/iPod

We have successfully deployed Postfix+Zarafa+Mailman from the Ubuntu 10.04 repositories. It is marvelous. Our only glitch appears to be the random attachment problem with Apple Mail, but I'm sure that this will be successfully rectified in an upcoming release.

We have been rolling out an iPad project and wanted to be able to use the webaccess. The only gotcha was the contentEditable limitation of the current iPad platform. Rather than wait for Apple to grant us iOS 4.2, we made a few patches to Zarafa so the composition windows come up with just the textarea. I hope that someone finds this patch useful:

    Hello Inlyppark,

You can also set the default for composing mails to plain text in the webaccess settings.

But why don't you try Z-push?

We use the patch because we are a school and our iPad usage is not one-to-one yet, so no Z-Push or imap. So students have to login to Zarafa webaccess to view/compose E-mail. We could use the preference setting, but when students login via devices that are capable of contentEditable (everything else), then they want to use the rich editor/

    Thanks for the great work.

Oh well, iOS 4.2's WebKit crippleware still doesn't correctly handle rich content editors, file uploads or location-dependent profiles. But at least we now have iAds! w00t!

I guess we'll keep using the patches we have in place.
