    Sort of Contacts

    Hi,

our customer is using zarafa 6.30.16-21846 and we have migrate a notes system to zarafa. The customer has several contacts in their public folders. The contacts are sorted by "First - Lastname". Now they want it to get sorted by "Last - Firstname". I have found a option in outlook to sort it specific - but it doesnt work. Anyone knows what the problem is ?

    Hello Basty,

Do the contacts have a last name and a first name filled in separately?

    Re: Sort of Contacts

    Hey Robin,

yep - if I check the contacts with the webaccess I see that the First and Lastnames are added in seperate fields. Firstname = added in the Firstname Field and Lastname is added in the Lastname Field..

    thanks

    Hi Robin,

we have migrated the contacts from a notes system to a pst file and imported the contacts with outlook (zarafa-admin) into the public folder.

    Hello Basty,

You can eiter add the fields last name and first name or change the file as of the contact. Now the File as is set to fist last. You can change this to last first.
But this needs to be done for every contact.

    Re: Sort of Contacts

    Hi,

i just checked it with out customer. He has the Problem, that the "Global Addressbook" is not getting sorted. The Addressbooks in the Public-Folder and/or in the user store is sorted right. It seems that the problem is that the "Global Addressbook" (the Zarafa Users) are getting the information out of the LDAP. We have setup "CN=Firstname Lastname" and that seems to be the problem. Is there any workaround to get that one solved ? I dont wanna remove the LDAP structure and setup "CN=Lastname Firstname" - because it would be a lot of work (remove the whole user, adding the user...)

    Hello Basty,

There is no way to do this now. I will check if I can make a feature request for it.
