    Re: Developing Zarafa admin GUI

    Hi All,

I've developed a GUI for admin of the DB-backed Zarafa server and it can be downloaded here:

It works with 6.20 and 6.30 but I would welcome some help fixing a couple of problems with the mapi zarafa functions for 6.40.

    Hello,

Looks ok some little flaws but easy to work with.

Maybe write a little how to install and use it

But most of all keep up the good work, this is great for the community.

    Re: Developing Zarafa admin GUI

    Hi Robin,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm keen to fix those flaws if you have a chance to list them I've added some release notes, details below:

    INSTALLATION

Unzip the files into a web-accessible directory on the Zarafa Server. Zarafa Admin should also work if located on a server with access to port 236 on the Zarafa server, just change the config.php in the includes directory to point to

    USAGE

Browse to the directory, for example and log in. If logging is as a user without admin access, the only option presented is to change your password. If logging in as a user with admin access for a particular company, then all users in that company are available to edit. Users can also be added and deleted. Admin access can be granted to a user at the command line in the first instance with

    :~$ zarafa-admin -u USERNAME -a 1

    KNOWN ISSUES

The current release does not support version 6.40 of the Zarafa server and has only been tested on Zarafa versions 6.20 and 6.30. Zarafa Admin only works on servers configured to use the db plugin (which is the default configuration in Zarafa).

Just for reference the link again:

I'm happy to add contributors to the project if anyone is interested, please let me know.

    Re: Developing Zarafa admin GUI

    Hello,

The two issues I have seen are only in the gui itself.

If you have a user with a very long name it will move the following columns out of proportion. Also high characters (umlauts) are not shown. (shown as ?)

And when you click on create new user. The first 3 fields are not lined so it is just a white space.

I will see if have a 6.30 server somewhere with db plugin and test if it works.

    Greetings,

    Re: Developing Zarafa admin GUI

    Hi,

Nice and simple looking admin interface :-D

I tried it with the v6.40.1 release and i can log in, i also get a full list of all accounts of that company. The admin tag is also correct...but if i try to change the password, with admin or user rights, i only get a white page....and thats it (a white screen of nothing)

Thats also what i get with my to->api adapted password plugin

    just a white page....no errors...no feedback...no logs...nothing

If a dev guru could find a few minutes to take a closer look and direct us in the right direction, that would be awesome

    Thanks mrzack, Robin,

mrzack one of the developers has mentioned that there is a ticket and target release of 6.40.2 for the mapi_zarafa_setuser problem:

I probably need to test the UI in different browsers and fix the js/css, it would also be good if a superadmin could log in and see all companies at once but not sure how to manage that at the moment.

    Great, can't wait for v6.40.2 :-)

About the superadmin....i think someone wrote, somewhere, that he made it work when he mada the first user(admin) in a single company then switched to multicompany.
That user was able to manage every company as admin user...and create/delete companies as well.

Did not try this myself though...
