Out of office disappears in Outlook.

The "out of office" and "restore deleted items" options disappear after working for a while in outlook 2000. Restarting the computers brings it back again only for it disappear again after a few minutes. We don't use offline mode and the zarafa client is up to date. (6.30.2.16545)

    With regards,

    Theo

    Hi Theo,

Are you implying that this issue only occurs on OL2K? Not on OL03 or OL07?
Or could you try with a new profile? (of course first without removing the old profile)

    Hi Imar,

We only have this problem with OL2K. New profile does not help either.
I have found out that the first time i start Outlook everything is fine. Shutting down Outlook and starting it again gives the problem. Outlook stays active as a process to monitor for new mail i think. Killing the process and then starting Outlook also helps.

    Hi Theo,

Yes, that is a common issue we hear a lot regarding OL2K and is something we can't fix and (apparently) Microsoft refuses to fix.

    Hi Imar,

this did not happen while we had an Exchange server, only after we migrated.

    Hi Theo,

Fortunately for Microsoft you don't need the plugin system to connect to an exchange server.

    Hi Theo,

I just checked with development and they ask which (full) version number you OL2K contains.

    Theo,

Is the Ecprops.dll not disabled in the Disabled items in Outlook, see help -> About MS Outlook.

    Milo

    Hi Milo,

There are no disabled items in Outlook. Looking at System Information Ecprops.dll is listed as a loaded module.

    Regards,

    Theo
