Compiling Zarafa on an ARM CPU

    Hi,

Has anybody had success or even tried to compile zarafa on/for an machine with ARM-CPU? Especially under Ubuntu 9.04 ARM build.
    I think about trying it...

    Hi,

Well it kind of depends if your ARM processor is set to little-endianess or big-endianess.
I don't think anybody has tried compiling Zarafa on ARM yet, but I think you will get into a lot of problems when using big-endian, with the little-endian version you might still have a chance although off course the compilation process would take quite a lot of time.

well - your reply tells me that i am too far away from my hardware

it is a sheevaplug (manufactured by marvell) based on a kirkwood CPU.
a look in the specs shows: "Supports both Big and Little Endian modes"
but i don't know if it switches automatically or what is the system default.

i think i will try and search for these information if i get trouble

it doesn't matter if it takes some time - the plug is just a "toy" by now. And as i used to work with "screen" it can work the whole night (although i don't expect it will last as long)

    Thanks for your answer
    and have a nice weekend,

    The first problems i experienced:

There is no openssl-dev an no automake1.8 (i decided to install just automake without an version number).
For some other packages there are alternatives that are chosen automatically.

Re: Compiling Zarafa on an ARM CPU

after having successfully compiled libvmime and libical i finally tried to do the same with zarafa.

    configuring has run good.
but "make" stops with the following output:

does anybody know how i can fix this?

    regards,
