Global addess book broken for other company's

    Hi,

A security upgrade for LDAP broke Zarafa today.

    When I run a 'zarafa-admin -l', I see all company's and users.
But in Outlook, I can only see my own company and not the others anymore in the Global Address Book.

    Any ideas where to look?

How have the "view" permissions between companies been configured?
    does 'zarafa-admin --list-view -I <company>' display the correct permissions?

Yes they are set OK. Everything was working perfectly untill this LDAP security update :-?

The --list-view shows me the correct company's.

I already tried to restart the entire Zarafa installation + LDAP (and had lots of support calls due to hanging Outlooks), reinstalled the plugin on the clients, but nothing helps.
Even in the webaccess I cannot see the other company's, so it's definitely a problem on the Zarafa server side.

My account, with which I test, is admin for all company's, so it ain't a permission problem. Permission inside a company work like a charm.

[SOLVED] Re: Global addess book broken for other company's

As test I removed the zarafaViewPrivilege atributes for all the company's and added them again (with inbetween 'zarafa-admin --list-view -I company') and now it's working again.

Is there a method of forcing Zarafa to re-read the entire LDAP setup and do some internal checks if everything is in sync? Or is this just a bug?

Well restarting zarafa will clear out the entire cache, so that shouldn't have been the problem.
Have you tried creating a second profile to see if that works?

    Restarting Zarafa didn't help.
Using another Profile didn't help either (as the webaccess showed the same problem, it was a server side error).

Which LDAP version did you use and which one are you currently using?

The update was for libldap-2.4-2, coming from version 2.4.9-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 to version 2.4.9-0ubuntu0.8.04.2

Update was done while everything was running, with a downtime of LDAP of about 10 minutes (due to apparmor who denied access to the LDAP database for no good reason).

Meanwhile this has been solved. No idea how, but everything works.
We haven't updated anything on the Zarafa side, but we did restart Zarafa after a crash.
