    Secondary LDAP support

This simple patch adds an option to specify secondary LDAP server. Secondary server is used when primary is not responding. Useful when primary server is down (eg. while doing backup) or simply to have a fallback. LDAPs of course need to contain the same data (replicate) or expect problems. I guess this would also work with a AD backup server...

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

Is this in 6.20? I would like to use this feature as I do have a redundant LDAP server running.

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

    Hi,

anyone can tell me when will be implemented the official support for configuring the LDAP slave in the server.cfg?

I have 6.30.3 version and it's very important for my company because, as you suspected, the mail service is very important
and is the only one not to have support for the secondary LDAP server :-(

    Regards,

    Edoardo

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

We are also interested in this feature as customers keep demanding it...

Postfix LDAP is also capable of using multiple LDAP servers as long as the client library (e.g. OpenLDAP) supports it [1].

Is there a version you plan to implement this?

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

    Hi,

my problem is the login in ZARAFA through Outlook Client or Webaccess, not the postfix service.
If ZARAFA server doesn't support a secondary LDAP configuration, when the only server LDAP configured goes down,
    all client outlook/webaccess are unavailable.

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

Wasn't there a patch submitted for this? Any reason why that didn't make it to 6.30?

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

    Hi nocturn,

the patch exist, exactly as specified in the first post (), but it's an unofficial patch.
I do not understand why something so important has not been implemented yet ...

    Re: Secondary LDAP support

Is this still not implemented in the 6.40 release?

Any reason why and time when we can expect this to be implemented? I don't want to manually patch every time there's a maintenance update for zarafa.
