[2.3.6] Autodiscover fails with Outlook for Android

I'm trying to register with Outlook on Android unsuccessfully (first code block). Same works fine with Windows 10 Mobile (second code block). The only difference in the request XML is
    a) formatting, and
    b) "utf-8" vs "UTF-8".
I can't see how the password is transmitted...

    Any idea what's wrong?
Any way to resolve by patching?

    Software stack: Kopano 8.4.0_162, z-push-2.6.3 , Postfix 3.1.0
    Platform: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
    Webserver: Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) OpenSSL/1.0.2g mod_wsgi/4.3.0 Python/2.7.12
    Clients:
Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM Windows Phone 10 (via z-push)
BQ Aquaris U Plus, Android 7.1.1 with Outlook 2.1.201
    Windows 10, Mail (via z-push), Outlook 2013 (via z-push)
    Kopano WebApp 3.3.0.566

Hum, very weird. The difference in encoding shouldn't matter.
Do you have special characters in your password that could break by the encoding?
Could you test using a 7bit ascii password just to be sure?

The password is sent via an http basic auth header. If it's not available we don't even try to login but return a "401 unauthorized" immediately (like the beginning of the second code block).
We could try logging the password. There has to be a difference, doesn't make sense that it does work for one but not the other.

    Cheers,
    Seb
