After fresh installation webapp does not connect ro server

    Hi all,

this is my first try with zarafa.
    Used components:
    Debian 8, Kernel 3.16.0-4-amd64
    Zarafa zcp-7.2.4.29-debian-8.0-x86_64-opensource
    zarafa-webapp_2.1.2
    mysql 5.5
    apache 2.4

After setting up 2 users in the database I can connect to DB via mysql but I cannot connect via webapp.
Error Message: Cannot connect to the zarafa server.
    I have set log_level in server.cfg to 6
and in webapp/config.php I have set error_reporting(E_ALL) which I have seen in another posting.

Neither /var/log/zarafa/server.log nor /var/log/apache2/* provide any useful information regarding user access.
(I see tons of debug messages in /var/log/zarafa/server.log).

Did I forget something in the basic setting of zarafa?

    Any hints appreciated.

    Thanks a lot,
    Günter

Is DEFAULT_SERVER in your /etc/zarafa/webapp/config.php coordinated with server_pipe_name in /etc/zarafa/server.cfg.

Can you run a zarafa-admin -l and see your two users?

    Hello Günter,

starting now with a fresh installation I would rather recommend to give Kopano a try. Kopano is the name of our new entity business and along with it came a fork of all the open source components of Zarafa. The zarafa packages will only receive updates for a limited time, while Kopano has the priority for new developments.
    Regards Felix

    How to get Kopano

    Hi,
    after enabling
    define("DEFAULT_SERVER","http://localhost:236/zarafa");
    it's working now.
And I see both users with zarafa-admin -l

However I'm now thinking about Kopano. If this is the "future" then it might be better to switch before I bring zarafa live.
