    kopano core 8.1.0 segfault in php7/mapi on ubuntu-16.04 amd64

    Hi,

after switching to ubuntu 16.04 and php7, adding or deleting calendar entries in webapp reproducibly leads to segfaults in the apache process, e.g.

These segfaults also appear when launching z-push. The configuration worked for years prior to switching to ubuntu 16.04 and php7.

    core: core-8.1.0.296_3-Ubuntu_16.04-amd64 and earlier
    webapp: webapp-3.1.0.191_196-Ubuntu_16.04 and earlier
    z-push: 2.3.1+0

    Does anyone else experience this?

    thx,
    jacks

    Suyi,

thanks for opening an issue on jira. In jira, it seems you added your own apache log. So you were able to reproduce the fault?
Perhaps Mark was not able to reproduce due to the CPU architecture? Mine is amd64.

I'd like to add that not only deleting calendar entries does provoke the problem.

It is rather that even adding new entries in the webapp calendar, and *any* connection of a mobile device to z-push do force segfaults.
It seems that in any of these cases, a freebusy operation is requested that leads to the failure.

    thx,
    jacks

    Hi Jacks,
yes we are able to reproduce this issue, the 'problem' is not able to reproduce this issue on his development machine and he is also running on a 64 bits machine.

Oh, nice. I would like to test it tonight.

Do I have to wait for the next build in the morning or can you push one out?

    thx,
    jacks

Adding and removing calendar entries in webapp now works again.
    Thanks a lot.

However, starting z-push still leads to segfaults in apache, but this might be a different issue.
Shall I report this to a specific z-push forum?

    thx,
    jacks

    Hi Jacks,

I would suggest keeping it here. The underlying issue comes from php-mapi and this has to be fixed in kopano core.
