    Error with policies.ini

    Hello,

I've removed my old version of Z-Push and installed the 2.3.x version with apt-get on my Debian server but I'm getting an error:
Exception: (FatalMisconfigurationException) - Your policies' configuration file doesn't contain the required [default] section. Please check the 'policies.ini' file.
I saw in a different thread this could be due to a permissions problem, so I tried to change the ownership of the file to www-data:www-data but it didn't help.

I opened the file it contains the tag [default] and contains the configuration.

Also, the only file I kept from my previous setup is the z-push.conf in /etc/apache2/conf-available, could this be linked to this problem?

    What should I try?

    Thanks.

Edit: problem fixed, I forgot to install the z-push-config-apache package that loaded a new z-push.conf, now the problem is fixed

This was probably a permission issue. The z-push-config-apache package makes sure the file permissions are correct for apache.
    Anyway, good that it's working.

    Cheers,
    Sebastian

    What's in the z-push.conf file?

I can not install the Apache plugin because I am using a very custom webserver solution with php-fpm and I do not want to destroy it.

    Thanks!

    Hello blueJack,

you can find the build files inside of https://stash.z-hub.io/projects/ZP/r...owse/build/deb. Like Sebastian already said, if z-push complains about not being able read the policies, its probably missing permissions to access the file.

Thank you for your quick answer!

Do you know which permissions the file policies.ini need? My policies.ini has www-data as owner. My folder /usr/share/z-push/* too. Don't know, why z-push is not able to read the file.
