ZCP 7.2.5 beta 1 is available

    Hi community,

This beta release aims to address several reports that we have been receiving from our customers and the community.
A few years ago we introduced python-zarafa and based on that, we have rewritten the search daemon (zarafa-search-plus) and the backup tool (zarafa-backup-plus).
ZCP 7.2.5 beta 1 introduces several enhancements and bug fixes related to python-zarafa which therefor benefits zarafa-search-plus and zarafa-backup-plus. Here you can view the whole .

    Please note

Ubuntu 16.04 will not be supported on ZCP 7.2 If you intend to use our software on Ubuntu 16.04 we would advise you to migrate to Kopano Core, where Ubuntu 16.04 packages are already available in beta phase.
Where can I download this new version?
The new packages are available via our . As always we appreciate your feedback, please contact us the or send an email to feedback [at] !

    Cheers,
    -Suyi

The dependency hell when updating Zarafa on CentOS (7) is a little annoying. I have to manually change the commandline on every version, changing wildcards to carefully avoid "devel" packages that would pull in even more unneeded stuff.

This is what worked for me to get from 7.2.4-final to 7.2.5-beta1:
Initial impression is good, it still seems to work :-)

The update to ZCP 7.2.5-beta1 did however not solve the dependency problem created by the included "python-tlslite-0.4.6-1.1.noarch.rpm" (see in the forum)
is still what yum update tells me.

Thanks for the reply regarding zarafa-python. I will have a look at this in the morning.

I just noticed something else. After updating from 7.2.4 to 7.2.5-beta1, zarafa-spooler had stopped working.
    fixed it for me.

Similar permission problems had caused problems for me in previous updates both after updating from 7.1 to 7.2 but also within the 7.2.x updates.
I solved them by chown'ing individual files in /etc/zarafa/. But now I just changed the entire directory by running:
I'm hoping this will now completely avoid those problems in the future.

can you also post the log entry why spooler was not working/running?
I tried to reproduce your issue but I could not get spooler not to work

I guess you are absolutely right. The problem might not have had anything to do with the permissions

I just checked my spooler.log again, and the only error I can see was there both before upgrading to 7.2.5-beta1 and still is there since I changed the ownership of the configuration files.

Strange enough: while my z-push messages were not being delivered, they got delivered after restarting the spooler - so I don't know if the non-delivery of my z-push messages had anything to do with those strange errors in the spooler.
I do remember another error at the time, but I can't find it so maybe I don't remember this correctly.

According to the post this weird error is resolved by:
so I added m.mydomain.net to the 127.0.0.1 line and will watch if it happens again.

Why my z-push mails were not delivered after updating - I have no clue. Perhaps some random quirk totally unrelated to the 7.2.5-beta1 update
