    Cool ZCP 7.2.4 RC2 is available to address more memleaks

    Hi community,

    Last week, we pulled the ZCP 7.2.2 and ZCP 7.2.3 releases because they contained memory leaks, which could lead to instability issues.
    Our tests and positive feedback from several partners confirm that the memleaks have been addressed and the systems are running stable again.
    Besides these two memleaks being addressed, we have also made bug fixes related to Zarafa Search Plus. The whole changelog is available .
    If you plan to upgrade your ZCP server, we strongly advise you to upgrade to this version, as Release Canididates are officially supported by us.

    Where can I download this new build?

    The new packages are available via our .
    As always we appreciate your feedback, please create a thread on our forum or leave a comment.

    Cheers,
    -Suyi

    Search errors

    Suyi,

    after upgrading to 7.2.4.28 I removed the content of search /index folder and restarted zarafa-search, now I see many errors in /var/log/zarafa/search.log:

    2016-07-15 19:47:26,081 - index1 - ERROR - Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/zarafa/__init__.py", line 4015, in log_exc

    doc['mapi3588'] = u' '.join([a.name + u' ' + a.email for a in item.to]) # PR_DISPLAY_TO

    I thought these errors are eliminated?

    Also I noted there is a new /etc/zarafa/search.cfg file, this file misses most settings of section „ATTACHMENT INDEX SETTINGS“.

    This are the missing settings:
    ~~~
    # Scripts to attachment to text parser
    index_attachment_parser = /etc/zarafa/searchscripts/attachments_parser
    # Maximum amount of memory which a parser may use in bytes (set to 0 for unlimited)
    # If this maximum is exceeded the parser will be killed
    index_attachment_parser_max_memory = 0
    # Maximim amount of CPU time (in seconds) which a parser may spend on parsing (set to 0 for unlimited)
    # If this maximum is exceeded the parser will be killed
    index_attachment_parser_max_cputime = 0
    # Filter out parsing of attachment which has a mimetype from this list
    # Only the first part of the mime needs to be given, like 'image'.
    # This field is SPACE separated
    index_attachment_mime_filter =
    # Filter out parsing of attachment which has an extension from this list
    # (only tested if mimetype was not found on the attachment)
    # This field is SPACE separated
    index_attachment_extension_filter =
    ~~~

    Do we not need these entries any longer?
    Regards

    Walter

    Hi Walter,
    thanks for your feedback! I have a few questions about this trace:

    - What is the exact reason to delete the index?
    - From which version did you upgrade from?
    - Please make sure that you are using the python-zarafa package from the release, not the one from github.
    Meanwhile I will forward this log to a developer and let him determine whether this is a new issue or not.

    Yes, see ZCP-13978 kopano-search.cfg uses outdated parameters

    Hey Suyi,

    by reading your documentation I've found a hint for some new packages...

    zarafa-gsoap (7.2.4RC2: libgsoap-zarafa*)
    zarafa-libvmime (7.2.4RC2: libvmime-zarafa)
    zarafa-libical (7.2.4RC2: libical-zarafa*)

    I wonder if you could tell me, which version and patches zarafa-gsoap, zarafa-libvmime, zarafa-libical are using?

    Thanks,
    Marti
