    Even without user connects

    Hello Richard,

    i've made a new install on new server (ZCP 7.2.1-51838), imported DB and attachments, seems to work but also got this error message but without any user interaction. Right now the server is running without clients. Did you get any solution for your problem?

    Regards

    Dirk

    We were using an old ZCP-version from 7.1. This week I installed a new Debian VM (8.4 x86_64), installed ZCP 7.2 and moved the MySQL-database and attachments to this machine. Since than, I also get these messages:

    1. What do these messages mean?
    2. It looks like a small problem. How to fix this?

    This error pops up, when the internal searchfolders have gotten out of sync. To repair you have to stop zarafa-server and start it once with the parameter "--restart-searches" (it will afterwards start automatically again and I would recommend to stop it manually and start via init afterwards).

    We have started seeing these message in our maillogs as well:

    May 1 00:35:19 zarafa zarafa-server[2128]: setSyncStatus(): collision

    # zarafa-admin -V
    Product version: 7,2,1,51838
    File version: 51838

    The man page is very scary.

    Re indexing our entire database is a several day affair, does this really imply that zarafa-server won't restart until an entire re-index is complete? Could we not just delete the search folders and restart zarafa-search which would re-index in the background allowing the server to run normally?

    Thanks,
    David

    No, these searchfolders are something different than the index of zarafa-search(-plus). With very big (and badly performing) databases I have seem this taking up to 45 minutes. In most cases it will be faster.
