Exclamation OpenSSL Patches Critical Certificate Forgery Bug, Ubuntu 14.04 update instructions

A few hours ago we just receive a critical update from OpenSSL. See article:

EDIT: According to a user post on slashdot: "Debian claims that their patched versions of openssl for squeeze/wheezy/jessie are not affected by this issue."

    Update instructions for current version:

    sudo bash

    apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade
    apt-get install build-essential

    cd
    wget
    tar zxvf openssl-1.0.2d.tar.gz
    cd openssl-1.0.2d
    ./config --prefix=/usr
    make
    make install
    reboot

Building OpenSSL yourself rather using the maintained package from your distribution is IMHO not the best idea. It might introduce compatibility issues and finally a regular update using apt-get could break some things again.
I install, configure, customize, integrate and maintain Zarafa setups in different environments since 2007. If you want my full attention, please send me a private message and ask for paid support.
