Thread: Default font set in webaccess settings is not honored on newly created E-Mails

  1. #1

Default font set in webaccess settings is not honored on newly created E-Mails

    Zarafa 7.2.1 Webcaccess

Set default font in settings to e.g. Tahoma.

    Create new E-Mail.

The font used is not Tahoma.
If text is selected and Font is set to Tahoma - one can visibly notice the change of the text.

I can not tell if this bug was introduced with 7.2.1 or exists already longer.

    Cheers

    Stefan

This issue also exists in 7.1.x as far as I can see.
I install, configure, customize, integrate and maintain Zarafa setups in different environments since 2007. If you want my full attention, please send me a private message and ask for paid support.

    Hi,

    Please check jira.zarafa.com for ticket.

    It's a won't fix for WebAccess.

    You could try WebApp instead.

    Cheers,
    Regards,

    Martyn

Too bad, given that this can be fixed within one hour of work - even by somebody being not really knowledged in web technologies (like me). In case somebody is interested in a working fix for this default font issue, please send a private message and I will share my patch with you.

that's really strange that the zarafa "won't fix this" for webaccess ...
And the idea to use webapp instead is not usable until it's not possible to migrate all webaccess 1:1 to webapp!
By default Zarafa is not able to handle this!
Neither signatures nor rules or send-as could be migrated ...
And also the simple multi-user-calander is still missing in the views of the calendar ...

Zarafa should be able to support webaccess as long as these options are missing in webapp!

f.e.: The createmail.php shows simple entries for this:
    var font_family = parentWebclient.settings.get("createmail/maildefaultfont","Arial");
    document.fckEditor.EditorDocument.body.style.fontF amily = font_family;

So it's quite simple, that parentWebclient.settings.get is not getting the correct parameters, provides by the settings.
Problem should be possible to locate fast:
    1. wrong settings saved in settings-area
    2. wrong settings read by createmail.php
This should be possible to fix with a small amount of time invest by one of the technicians.

So please do us a small favour and provide a patch for this or any hint what we need to change to get this function up and running.

    regards

    Rico
    current system : ZARAFA 7.1.13 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (x64) with Z-Admin
    user base : WIN 2008 R2 (x64) with ADS-plugin ...
    backups are overvalued ...
    restore is important ...

    Hi Rico,

Regarding migration of settings there is such a script on github.
Not everything is supported but you can ask for features here:

Currently I think the script works with rules, but not with signatures or delegates.
