    exim4 /courier IMAP -> exim4 / zarafa with z-push

    First off - this is a really great piece of software which I have been looking for for quite some time. I recently migrated my small mailserver (15 users) to zarafa. It runs on a small dedicated linux box.

    OS: Debian etch 4.0
    Mailserver: Exim4 with sa-exim /spamassassin and clamav
    Courier IMAP with SSL

    After experimenting some I decided to use imapsync to migrate my existing Maildir instead of using the script I found in this forum.

    Stuff I really liked:
    * z-push with zarafa behaves puts a lot less stress on the server as it did when I used it with my imap server
    * the webclient is really nice
    * simple install and nicely commented config files
    * FAQs that really have information that you need (ie exim4 integration)
    * the fact that it's open source
    * and my absolute #1: Flawless integration with my all the mobile phones (windows mobile / iphone and Nokia N-series)

    my gripes...
    * for me the #1 drawbacks are the lack of proper mailfiltering rules. Only some of them work (Outlook/webclient). Haven't yet been able to create a filter rule which filters the recipient (needed for a lot of mailing lists). [EDIT: SOLVED WITH 6.20RC1]
    * lacking proper integration for spamassassin. I think it would be really nice if sa-learn could be autmatically be made to learn from each users junk-email folder. Spamassassin runs on almost every linux mailserver. Learning new spam is important IMHO.
    * the IMAP gateway seems a little flunky at times. I can't quite put a finger on it but while outlook and especially my phone are rock solid - thunderbird /applemail throws the occasoinal error (sometimes deleting, sometimes folders vanish an reappear)

    Just try out filtering by "message header" (in German "Nachrichtenkopfzeile") in connection with "Delivered-To:". Maybe thats an option for you?
