PHP Tool to get calender entrys of a certain day

    Hello,

I'm searching for a PHP Script to get a List of all the entrys of "today" in an Public Calendar.
The Script should be on an different server than zarafa and the Result should be a list like:

    Appointments today:
    - "Subject of the Appointment"; "Location of the Appointment"
    - "Subject of the Appointment"; "Location of the Appointment"
    - "Subject of the Appointment"; "Location of the Appointment"
    .
    .
    .
    .

How can I realise something like this in the easiest way?

    Thanks for your reply.

    Hi sirisaac,

if you search the forum, there are some examples how to get appointments from the public folders. You just then would need to modify them to get the appointments of today only and format the output.

You have to be aware though that if you'll need PHP-MAPI installed on the server which runs the script. Otherwise you'll have to pass the appointment list to the other server somehow.

    Thanks for your help.
We solved it with an user, not with an public calendar.

To me the code looks too trivial. You are filling mapi_table_queryallrows() without any date restriction and you do not check if there is an overlap of an appointment with today. That means you exclude appointments which e.g. start one day before and just overlap with "today". And if I am not completely mistaken this also at the moment excludes recurring appointments (except for the first one). Is that really expected?
I install, configure, customize, integrate and maintain Zarafa setups in different environments since 2007. If you want my full attention, please send me a private message and ask for paid support.

    Hi,
finally we found another little problem.

I created a page with the Information I Need and a "setTimeout("location.reload(true);", 300000);" to reload the page every 5 Minutes.

    Everything works fine. Nearly

Sometimes the german umlauts are not correct. So an "ü" is an "?" but after the next reload its an "ü". And the next time perhaps an "?"

    How can that be possible?

    Hi sirisaac,

does your page have the charset or Content-Type meta tag? Otherwise the browser would just guess it and sometimes it might guess wrong.

    Hello Manfred,

the charset should be right because on the page I have a static text placed with php an there the umlauts are always showed correctly.
