WoooHooooo :-D

I'm so happy!!! The webaccess finally works!!
Thank you sooo much Michael!

It was all the fault of Plesk and the open_base_dir.
I now set everything up as desrcribed on the swsoft Homepage and it works!!

The second mistake must have been a typo or something on my side....I' dont know
But for some reason I copied ALL of the mapi extensions into the webaccess/PEAR directory.....I really didn't do that on purpose.
But after deleting the files and getting the vhost.conf right, now logging in is possible :-)

The next thing now is to configure qmail. Do you maybe have any ideas for that??
Again it's because of Plesk (like I wrote a few posts before) that there is no global .qmail
But I'll start googling right away :-)

I'm glad to hear everyting about the webaccess is working now :)

Can't help you with that, first of all I don't know plesk and second I never have used qmail. But when I see this sample of your spooler.log:
Code: Select all
Sat Jan 19 22:17:21 2008: Sending e-mail for user gernot, subject 'Hallo'
Sat Jan 19 22:17:21 2008: Connection error: 'Cannot resolve address.'.
Sat Jan 19 22:17:21 2008: E-mail for user gernot could not be sent, notifying user
Sat Jan 19 22:17:23 2008: Removing failed message from queue

I will advise you to take a look at the qmail log files for that time, maybe you can find out why it fails resolving the address.

Well thanks very much Michael, I'm sure I find a solution somewhere.

But something else I noticed.
I added some conacts to my testuser account in outlook 2007. They instantly synched and showed up in the webmail when I click on contacts.
But when I try to write a new email and then click on "to..." and choose the contacs adress book, I get an error message.

But my first priority now is to get qmail running :-)
If someone else reads this post and knows his/her way around qmail maybe the error log helps.

I am very interested in the error you have got, because when it is a real bug in the webaccess, we can fix it in one of the next release versions.

I don't now if it's a real bug.
But a friend of mine who told me about zarafa is using it for quite some time now and has never had this error.
He always syncs with Outlook 2003 ..... I'm using 2007... could that have something to do with it?? Does the 2007 Version handle the Contacts differntly??

Or mabe it's just another misconfiguration on my side.....

Hi,

Error 14 means "HTTP GET method not implemented". You can get this error todo something like http://84.119.56.1:236

I think it isn't an Outlook vs webaccess issue.
The error says: xml is broken, I see php error reports in the data back from your server. Maybe an idee to disable php HTML error report logging
For micheal:
Code: Select all
<br />
<b>Notice</b>:  Undefined index:  message_flags in <b><--removed-->/webaccess/server/modules/class.addressbooklistmodule.php</b> on line <b>166</b><br />
<br />

Error reporting is disabled by default in the WebAccess because of these messages that sometimes occure. Please check your config. php and make sure that display_errors is disabled:
Code: Select all
ini_set("display_errors", false);

Yes. Thank you!

I already did that....just forgot to post it here...sorry...but thanks for the help!
I even got qmail so send messages, the only thing that isn't working right now is receiving :-) ...but I'm getting close.
As soon as everything works I'll post here what I did, just in case there is another Plesk User out there with the same Problem.

Hey !

Just wanted to know if you have figured it out how you get to deliver mails to Zarafa instead of Plesk.

Tnx in advance.

Yes!
After many hours I got it working....and it's working perfectly now :-)
Now, that I know what I did wrong I could do it again within 2 minutes or so :-)

Do you need any help??
If you have the same or similar problem just tell me what you have done so far and what error(s) you're getting and i'll try to help you as good as I can!

Hi Grim,

I will post the results and instructions for other Plesk users here. Thnx mate

And now I'm struggling the same way on OpenSUSE 10.2, Plesk 8.4 and Zarafa 6.02.
I've never worked with qmail and Plesk before, so I only hacked it up for the moment.

First I had to make zarafa-dagent setuid, to have qmail even run it:

Code: Select all

ln -s /usr/bin/zarafa-dagent /var/qmail/bin
chmod u-w,u+s /usr/bin/zarafa-dagent

Next I had to add the dagent invocation. But since Plesk overrides .qmail happily and the most specific .qmail seems to win,
I run a cron script like this
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash

# PLESK and qmail seem to be unable to hook zarafa-dagent globally, so hack around it...
function force_user_domain()
{
    local user=$1
    local domain=$2
    local dot_qmail=/var/qmail/mailnames/${domain}/${user}/.qmail

    # no phantom users/domains
    test -z $user && return
    test -z $domain && return

    # don't touch, if not writable or existant
    test -r $dot_qmail || return
    test -w $dot_qmail || return

    if ! grep -F zarafa-dagent $dot_qmail >/dev/null 2>/dev/null
    then
        echo "| zarafa-dagent -q $user" >>$dot_qmail
    fi
}

function get_zarafa_users()
{
    /usr/bin/zarafa-admin -l|tr '\t' ':'|cut -d: -f2|egrep -v '(---------------------------------------------|username|SYSTEM|^$)'
}

function get_zarafa_user_domain()
{
    local user=$1
    /usr/bin/zarafa-admin --details $user | grep -F 'Emailaddress:'| cut -d'@' -f2
}

for one in $(get_zarafa_users)
do
    force_user_domain $one $(get_zarafa_user_domain $one)
done

This is not ideal, but since nobody seems to know and share a better solution, I thought I better provide ANY solution
